Our Team

Who are we? We’re seasoned digital technology,media and marketing veterans with extensive experience in consumer-based personalization services and marketing automation solutions for advertisers and publishers.

Jeff Janer Co-Founder and CEO

Startup Duties: Costco guy, thinking up puns and abstract metaphors and paying the bills
Area of Life Expertise: Road-biking and a database like memory for networking and other semi-useful trivia
Fun Fact: The Spring Partners office is in the same office space as Jeff’s first company almost 30 years ago.
Jeff spearheads marketing,public relations and media partnership efforts at Spring Partners. Jeff was most recently CMO of Third Screen Media (acquired by AOL),and has held a variety of senior executive roles at numerous companies,including VP of Marketing & Business Development at Britemoon,Founding Partner of Traverse Partners,EVP at Fidelity eBusiness,EVP of Sales and Marketing at iXL and President & CEO of Larry Miller Productions. Jeff holds a BA in International Relations from Brown University.

Jeff Chow Co-Founder and President

Startup Duties: Office DJ,barista,bartender,mediocre CSS stylist.
Area of Life Expertise: Photography and attempts at convincing his wife gadgets actually simplify his life so he can buy more gadgets.
Fun Fact: Jeff used to be a DJ for the MIT radio station. He also successfully completed project365 taking a photo a day for an entire year.
Jeff drives company strategy and product direction. Prior to Spring Partners, Jeff was SVP, Product at Third Screen Media and co-founder of Britemoon (acquired by Click Squared), a leading multi-channel campaign management platform for advertisers and direct marketing agencies. Jeff holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Jason Horman Co-Founder and Chief Architect

Startup Duties: Witty office commenter and mid day Dunkin Donuts procurer
Area of Life Expertise: Weightlifting,calendaring,sharing the parenting load with his wife.
Fun Fact: Jason developed and eventually open sourced a personal wiki application called WikidPad
Jason has architected and developed the core app development framework for the SpringPad platform. He was previously VP, Engineering and Principal Architect at Third Screen Media and prior to that, held Principal and Senior Engineer roles at Pantero, Musicmatch, Terra Lycos and Bose. Jason studied Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Chip Correra CTO

Startup Duties: Feeding the troops with vegetables from his garden
Area of Life Expertise: Skiing & snowboarding (he’s been to over 50 mountains and back country areas in the US and Canada) and personal organization & time management.
Fun Fact: Chip and his circle of friends pass around a 20-year-old donut as a gift for special events.
Chip oversees the research and technical operations for the company. Prior to Spring Partners, he was CTO at Third Screen Media. Chip has multiple dog lives of deep experience in technology and professional services, including founding Clarity Group and executive roles at Idiom Technology, Performaworks, and Revenio. Chip holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from UMass Amherst.

Matt Fusco VP Business Development

Startup Duties: IKEA Mule (he has the SUV) and Office health “Emergen-C” dispenser
Area of Life Expertise: De-cluttering the home,staying in shape,saving money and budgeting.
Fun Fact: Matt once woke up in Vegas to realize he had won $12k at the roulette table the night before (must have been the pure oxygen they pump into the casino)!
Matt leads our Life Expert partnership efforts. Prior to Spring Partners, he held senior sales and business development positions at Ad Infuse, Third Screen Media and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He also helped found Blue Sky, the first green dry cleaning service (acquired by Zoots). Matt holds a BS in Accounting from Bentley College.

Katin Miller Product Manager, Free Safety

Startup Duties: IKEA assembly project manager and Green guilt tripper evangelist
Area of Life Expertise: Meal planning,vegetarian eating and ideas for simplifying life
Fun Fact: Katin was once recruited by the CIA to be an undercover agent.
Katin is out to understand our target customers - their needs and wants - to ensure that we’re building a product that they will love. Prior to Spring Partners, Katin spent her career as a process expert in the fields of manufacturing, warehousing and supply chain, holding management positions at IBM and McMaster-Carr. Katin holds a SB in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Kellogg.

Rick Pike Engineer

Startup Duties: Skype and iChat optimizer (he works out of SF)
Area of Life Expertise: Grunge music
Fun Fact: Rick has successfully circumnavigated the globe
Rick is tasked with building out the SpringPad API and interfacing with data services across the Internet. Previously, Rick worked at Jackpot Rewards and was a key contributor to the search services and core architecture for Lycos.

Huy Le IT Ops

Startup Duties: Answering (with surprising patience) the question “is the Internets down?” and “huy did you break the Google?”
Area of Life Expertise: Having computers doing the work for him; in other words,automation.
Fun Fact: Huy moved to Seattle from Vietnam when he was 16.
Huy ensures that SpringPad is up and running to serve our global users. Before joining Spring Partners, Huy held senior IT positions at Third Screen Media and Retail Decisions, Inc.

Chuck Garofalo Engineer

Startup Duties: PB&J evangelist
Area of Life Expertise: Laundry (no,seriously…)
Fun Fact: Chuck plays once a week in a golf league and therefore refers to all coding challenges in golf terms (Can I have a mulligan on that bug?)
Chuck builds and maintains the SpringPad platform. Chuck has more than 9 years of experience in software engineering, both at Third Screen Media and CA, Inc. Chuck holds a BS in Computer Science from Providence College and a MS in Computer Science from Boston University
